Prelude to the Fourth – Lawrenceville
The City of Lawrenceville is once again hosting its Prelude to the Fourth Fireworks Spectacular. The event happens on Friday, July 1st on the Lawrenceville Lawn. The fun starts at 5pm with music and food vendors. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for fireworks viewing beginning at dusk. This is a rain or shine event!

Lilburn’s annual Sparkle in the Park happens on Monday, July 4th at the Lilburn City Park, which is just a short walk from Cottages at Noble Village. This popular active adult community is thriving, and we know neighbors will be out enjoying the fun celebration just down the road. It was great to see everyone at the Peggy Slappey Properties client appreciation festival this past Saturday, October 23rd. The event is held each year as the leaves begin to change and is a fantastic opportunity for PSP clients - both old and new - to gather and enjoy some fall fun.
This year's event was held at the Buford Corn Maze. Over 700 RSVPs were received, and PSP agents turned out in force to greet everyone as they trickled in from 1pm until 6pm. There was cotton candy, a balloon artist, barbecue lunch, and a pumpkin for each family. Buford Corn Maze
Buford Corn Maze is the close-to-home fall excursion you don’t want to miss. Find your way through the five-acre maze, visit with farm animals, take a hayride, and even walk through the haunted forest. Tickets start at just $16 and can be purchased online or in person. Lawrenceville - Friday, July 2: Held in the downtown area on the Lawrenceville Lawn, this Prelude to the Fourth features special performances by Riley Biederer and Electric Avenue. The even runs from 5pm until 10pm, with fireworks beginning at dusk.
Norcross - Saturday, July 3: The annual Red, White & Boom will have food vendors, bounce houses and face painting with a DJ inside Lillian Webb Park from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
It's that time again, when temperatures are dropping each night below freezing in metro Atlanta. It's not just the standing water outside that freezes. If you're not careful, it could be the water lines inside your home, too. But there are easy steps you can take today to save the hassle and expense of frozen and burst pipes this winter.
Set Faucets to a Trickle
When temperatures are sure to fall below freezing, set faucets in kitchens and baths to a slow trickle overnight. Letting the water drip may not be enough to avoid frozen pipes. This is especially helpful on faucets located on outer walls in older homes that may have less efficient insulation.
