It's that time again, when temperatures are dropping each night below freezing in metro Atlanta. It's not just the standing water outside that freezes. If you're not careful, it could be the water lines inside your home, too. But there are easy steps you can take today to save the hassle and expense of frozen and burst pipes this winter.

Set Faucets to a Trickle

Keep those princesses and superheroes safe with a few simple rules, updated for 2020.

Memorial Day is an important day of observance, a national American holiday where we pause to remember and appreciate the sacrifice of our fallen service members. Unfortunately, this year’s observances of Memorial Day across the country will look a bit different than they have in years past. With CDC guidelines still advising against gatherings of more than 10 people, parades and events have been cancelled in towns both large and small.

But in Gwinnett County, officials decided to get creative. Instead of cancelling the annual event, the usual ceremony will be moved online. It will include a performance of the Star Spangled Banner and Taps followed by a three-volley salute. There will be remarks by County Commission Board Members and Retired Marine
