It was great to see everyone at the Peggy Slappey Properties client appreciation festival this past Saturday, October 23rd. The event is held each year as the leaves begin to change and is a fantastic opportunity for PSP clients - both old and new - to gather and enjoy some fall fun.

This year's event was held at the Buford Corn Maze. Over 700 RSVPs were received, and PSP agents turned out in force to greet everyone as they trickled in from 1pm until 6pm. There was cotton candy, a balloon artist, barbecue lunch, and a pumpkin for each family. Guests explored the corn maze, took a hayride, played on the jumping pillow, and posed for photos with photographer Jpegs By JGlo. If you or your family posed for the camera, look for an email with

Peggy Slappey Properties, Inc. (PSP) is a trusted real estate brokerage with 39 years in the metro Atlanta area. The brokerage has seen several ups and downs in the market over the years. Today’s market, however, looks a little different. Rising prices, low housing inventory, and huge demand could be leading to a generational shift in the area.

Real estate in the metro Atlanta area is hot. Homes are selling fast, often within just one day of hitting the market. It is now normal to be in a multiple offer situation with upwards of 20 or more offers. There are more buyers in the market than sellers, and new home inventory is continually playing catch up with demand. Agents are scheduling showings in 15-minute increments back-to-back for days on end. Homes

Real estate in Metro Atlanta, as in other parts of the country, is roaring. It’s an unprecedented time in the industry, when demand has hugely outpaced inventory. That is driving up costs, causing shortages of raw materials for new homes, and leading to many multiple offer situations. As a buyer, what can you expect a seller to consider in those situations? How do you make your offer stand out from the rest?

Is there a home sale contingency?

If you, as the buyer, have a home to sell yourself, it may make other offers without that contingent sale more attractive to the seller. Avoiding a contingency is just one way to avoid potential complications, like financing falling through on the contingent sale. The good news is that this is a small

Agents and staff at Peggy Slappey Properties (PSP) recently celebrated BIG accomplishments with an elegant evening at 1818 Club in Duluth, GA. It was a night of delicious food, live music, and laughter as Broker and Owner Peggy Slappey along with Sales Manager Mary Kelley handed out each award along with a special gift.

Join us in celebrating these outstanding successes one more time. 2020 was undoubtedly one of the

The real estate market in Metro Atlanta is on fire this spring. Homes are selling at a record pace. Multiple offer situations happen every day. There is a shortage of homes for sale, which means competition is fierce. How can you, as the buyer, be a top contender and hopefully the winner when it comes to the home of your dreams?

Rule No. 1 – Don’t Wait

In today’s fast-moving market, the buyer that waits is often the buyer who misses out. We understand how big the decision to buy is, but thinking it over for 24 hours gives all the other buyers (and there are a lot of them) time to move before you do. Believe it or not, homes today are selling even before they are officially listed, which makes working with a qualified PSP Realtor even more
