Marietta Art in the Park

A Labor Day Weekend tradition, Art in the Park is back this year to celebrate the arts by featuring both local and national artists at Glover Park in Marietta. Not only does the event feature 175 artists, but it also encourages participation with Chalk Spot, a street chalk art display for all, as well as Children’s Art Alley, offering free crafts

Memorial Day is Monday, May 28th, when we gather with family and friends to remember soldiers who died while protecting our country.  The official federal holiday was originally called “Decoration Day,” a day of remembrance enacted immediately following the Civil War.  In 1968, Congress established Memorial Day as the last Monday in May, and now it is a three-day weekend that marks the unofficial start of the summer season.
