Lake Lanier Parks
Maybe the best way to cool off is to take a dip in Lake Lanier’s refreshing waters. With over 50 corps, state, county, and city parks along its 680-mile shoreline, there is a place on Lake Lanier for everyone. Our favorite in Gwinnett is Buford Dam Park, where car admission is just $4 at the gate or $1 for pedestrians. This park has a beach with a designated swim area, picnic tables, volleyball and basketball courts, playgrounds, and covered pavilions. All you need is a beach towel and a cold beverage.
