Peggy Slappey Properties is a family-run real estate brokerage of over 40 years, and these cheesecakes come from the matriarch herself, Helen Barker, Peggy’s mother. A family recipe passed down through the generations, the cheesecakes were originally baked personally by Helen, known affectionately by family, friends, and all of PSP as "Mom Helen." The tradition began when she decided to hand a cake to her clients at closing along with their new set of house keys, way back in 1970.
