Spring is in the air, Metro Atlanta! The new season officially begins on Thursday, March 19th. It’s time to start planning for your favorite local events, fairs, and festivals to enjoy as the weather gets warmer and the days longer. Mark these fun events on your calendar:
St. Paddy’s on Perry – Lawrenceville
This fun event happens this Saturday, March 14th starting at 3pm in historic Downtown Lawrenceville, GA. This is a family friendly event featuring cold brews, traditional Irish food, food and drink competitions, and live music on the outdoor stage. Visit http://lawrencevillega.org for all the details.
Paddy’s Day PathFest - Braselton
Visit Braselton, GA on Saturday, March 14th from 10am to 4pm for the Paddy’s Day PathFest. There will be a parade on the Braselton LifePath of decorated golf carts, bicycles, wagons, and so much more. Then test your smarts at PathQuest for a chance to win a great prize package. Professional Bull Riders – Duluth
The Gwinnett Invitational is this weekend, March 14th and 15th starting at 6:45pm. There will be pyrotechnics and an exciting show with the top 35 bull riders in the world competing against fierce bucking bulls – a full two hours of thrills and spills. Tickets are $26 - $429. Irish Fest - Norcross
Come on down to the City of Norcross for its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration: Irish Fest! The fun starts at 11am on Saturday, March 14th and will include Irish-themed activities, food, music, crafts, and even whiskey tastings. All of S. Peachtree Street will close down for the festivities. This free event is open to the public and family friendly.
Spring Foliage Fest - Jefferson
Welcome to Jefferson, GA’s 10th annual festival to welcome spring. It happens Saturday, March 21st from 10am to 4pm at the Jefferson City Park. Sponsored by the Jefferson Tree Council, there will be live plants for sale, food vendors, live music, and activities for the kids. Admission and parking are free. 10th Annual Suwanee Beer Fest - Suwanee
It happens on Saturday, March 14th starting at 1pm at Town Center Park in Suwanee, GA. There will be over 350 craft beers to sample, as well as live music, games, and local food vendors. Tickets are $50-$110, and the VIP tasting starts at noon. Visit http://suwaneebeerfest.com for more details.
Elachee Raptor Fest 2020 - Gainesville
This exciting nature program features live bird and animal encounters. Learn all about wild birds of prey on Saturday, March 21st from 10am to 2pm at Gainesville, GA’s Elachee Nature Science Center. Rain or shine, the show will go on! General entry is $10 ($5 for members).
