Why Is Real Estate CE So Important?

Posted by Blog Admin on Friday, September 13th, 2019 at 1:55pm.

Continuing Education (CE) is important for so many reasons, especially for real estate professionals. At Peggy Slappey Properties, we encourage our agents to take part in as many CE opportunities throughout the year as possible. We know it can be difficult to find the time, but we realize the value of new information in a constantly changing industry.

Not only is yearly CE a mandatory requirement of all real estate agents licensed in Georgia, but it’s also good for business. Real estate is always evolving, with new trends and market changes each year, each season. The best realtors don’t get left behind in “the way things were.” They charge forward, conquering new real estate laws, social media marketing, and the inevitable yearly changes to standard contracts and forms. Staying “in the know” gives clients peace of mind and certainly helps each agent’s bottom line.

We asked Eric Keese, founder of Live Gigantic Real Estate School (LGRES) and 2018's Industry Educator of the Year, for his thoughts on why CE is so important:  “Some agents view [CE] as an unnecessary evil, rather than the tool that can strengthen and grow their business. From learning a new niche and contractual changes to raising their awareness and staying abreast of licensing requirements, CE classes provide agents the opportunity to expand through the experiences of others. Continuing Ed class provides a safe place to ask questions, as well as get a different perspective from other real estate professionals. In some CE classes, there are 100+ years of collective experience. What better place to grow and learn?”

Truly, what better place? Not only are agents fulfilling a professional license requirement, but they also might learn a few things. This fall, PSP and our partners will host several CE opportunities, and we invite all agents to attend. As always, we try to make them fun, not only with great instructors and interesting topics, but with giveaways and your chance to win a big Grand Prize.

Join Eric Keese and LGRES at two upcoming events in PSP communities near you. An engaging teacher and motivational speaker, Eric will cover important topics to keep you current, and PSP will bring the fun… and free lunch!

The first of our “Three for Free” CE opportunities took place earlier this week in Winder’s Lake Rockwell community, but there are still two more chances for you to participate and register to win our Grand Prize – an Apple Watch Series 4!  RSVP today at www.psponline.com/three-for-free
