Easter Events from Egg Hunts to Brunch

Easter is this Sunday, April 1, 2018. Still looking for fun ways to spend your weekend? We’ve got you covered with everything from photos with the Easter Bunny to egg hunts and gourmet brunch.
Bring the whole family for the 9thS Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop, presented by Superior Plumbing and C&S Paving, Inc. More than 90,000 eggs and candies will be helicopter-dropped at the football fields at Sprayberry High School (2525 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, GA 30066), with age-appropriate egg hunts at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 1:45 pm, and 3:30 pm. This fun event opens at 10 am and runs until 5 pm on Saturday, March 31.
Hop over to the Fernbank Museum for Little Critters Day, where families can welcome spring by visiting with baby animals in a petting zoo, learning about honeybees and tadpoles, and collecting prize-filled eggs. The event is FREE with museum membership, but there will be treats and prizes available for purchase, plus temporary tattoos and crafts. Little Critters Day happens this Saturday, March 31 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Head further north to Jefferson, GA for the Jefferson Community Easter Egg Hunt. It happens Saturday, March 31 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Jefferson City Park. Not only will there be over 15,000 candy and prize eggs, but Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos! Plus, there will be vendor booths providing yummy snacks and fun children’s activities. The egg hunt is for children 12 and under, but there will be plenty of fun for all ages.
Lanier Islands in Buford is launching the spring season with its annual Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt 2018. Reservations start at 7am on Easter Sunday, April 1st. Call 770-945-8787 to buy tickets at the popular lakeside destination. It will include a beachfront sunrise service, an elaborate Easter brunch buffet, egg hunts, pony rides, petting zoo, games, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Check out the Lanier Islands Easter Celebration Package for a fabulous “stay-cation” that includes accommodations, brunch, and a Spring Break savings card.
Celebrate in gourmet style with Easter Brunch at Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA. From 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday, April 1, enjoy carved-to-order prime rib and a smorgasbord of chef-curated gourmet items. Chateau Elan is just 40 minutes north of Atlanta and offers a full-service winery and tasting bar, a European spa, and a 45-hole championship golf course.
