Don’t let the rain or the cold keep you inside this weekend, metro Atlanta! It’s time to get out there and enjoy some of the great events offered close to home.
North Atlanta Home Show: It’s time for the 23rd Annual North Atlanta Home Show, a three-day event that runs from Friday, Feb 7 through Sunday, Feb 9. It takes place at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and showcases new products, home improvement experts, and buyer discounts. Attendees can even register to win a meeting at the Minneapolis Home & Garden Show in March. The event is presented by Marketplace Events, North America’s largest producer of consumer home shows. Admission is $6-$8. Children 12 and under, and adults 65 and older, are admitted free of charge.
Suwanee Winter Farmer’s Market: Make your way to Town Center Park in Suwanee on Saturday, February 8th for a morning of shopping fresh local produce, baked goods, and other homegrown goodies. The Winter Farmer’s Market happens on the second Saturday each month, starting at 9am and continuing until 11am.
Chocolate Walk: Visit charming downtown Braselton on February 8 starting at 11 am to visit participating local businesses and collect a delectable chocolate treat from each location as you browse boutique shops and experience award-winning restaurants. The cost to participate is just $10.
The Ice Rink at Sugar Hill: Cold weather is back in town, so take advantage of it and bring the family to skate on the largest outdoor real ice rink in the southeast. Skate rentals are available, and the cost is just $8-$10 for 90 minutes of skating.
Stargazing at Harbins Park: Join educators at Harbins Park in Dacula for an evening under the stars. Bring your own telescope or use one provided. Learn about constellations in the winter sky and how to identify them. All ages are welcome! It happens Saturday, Feb 8 at 8pm, and the cost is just $3-$6.
