Great Gwinnett Easter Events

Posted by Blog Admin on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at 11:38am.

Churches, businesses and communities across the area have tons of events planned in Gwinnett this weekend. Here are just a few of our favorite family events to get the Easter celebrations started:

Grayson Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza – This will be a morning full of fun for kids of all ages! It happens at 10am on April 20th. Egg hunts will be divided by age and staggered to let the most kids participate. For more details, check out the event on Facebook.

Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt – Rossie Brundage Park will host a wheelchair-accessible and sensory-friendly event on Saturday, April 20. Great for kids with special needs, bring a basket for egg hunting and be ready for fun! An RSVP is required for this egg-stra special event. Find all the details at www.aplacetoimagine.com.

Stone Mountain Park Easter Sunrise Service – Celebrate Easter at 7am on Sunday, April 21st with a sunrise service at Stone Mountain Park, where there will be two simultaneous, non-denominational services, one at the top of the mountain, and one at the base of the mountain on the Memorial Lawn. Both services will feature sign language interpreters. The park will open at 4am and the Summit Skyride starts running at 4:30am.

Underwater Egg Hunt and Bunny Bonanza – Get to Buford on Saturday for this event like no other at the Bogan Park Aquatic Center. For just $15, kids can dive for Easter eggs in the pool, make fun crafts, and visit with the Easter Bunny. It happens April 20th starting at 9am.

Eggcellent Old Fashioned Easter Event – For just $6 on Saturday, April 20th, see what an old-fashioned Easter looks like in Lawrenceville. Roll eggs across Preservation Lawn, decorate a Victorian Easter card, and bring a basket for the egg hunt. It all starts at 10am.

Easter Egg Hunt and Movie at Margaritaville at Lanier Island – This evening egg hunt runs from 5pm to 6pm on Paradise Beach. Someone lucky will find the golden egg with a season pass for two inside! Afterward, stay to watch “Hop” on the big screen and visit with the Easter Bunny and Syd the Parrott. No gate fees or dock fees for this event!
