Independence Day Fireworks Guide

Thursday, July 4th is Independence Day, a day for barbecue, family gatherings, and uniquely American celebrations. Not sure where or when your town is celebrating? We’ve got the local round-up of fireworks and festivals this week, from big towns to small:

Celebrate Braselton 4th of July Festival, Parade, & Fireworks – Thursday, July 4th starting at 5pm

This Thursday in Braselton, come out for the annual parade at 5pm and stay for the festival and fireworks that follow. There will be food vendors, live music, and fun for the whole family!

17th Annual Star Spangled Fourth at the Mall of Georgia – Thursday, July 4th starting at 3pm

Enjoy patriotic live music, food vendors, carnival games, bounce houses, fireworks, and a family-friendly movie after the firework show. Wristbands are $20 or individual tickets are $1 each at this great event in Buford, where fireworks viewing is always FREE.

Lilburn’s Sparkle in the Park – Thursday, July 4th starting at 5:30pm

Experience the fun at Lilburn City Park on Thursday, where they’ll read the Declaration of Independence, have live music, kid’s crafts and bounce houses, and fireworks starting at 9:30pm. There will be a complimentary shuttle service to the park and tons of food vendors lining the park.

Oconee July 4th Fireworks Show – Starts at 8pm

Come on down to the Epps Bridge Center on July 4th at dusk for Athens’ best fireworks show! Bring a lawn chair early to get the best seats!
 

Duluth Celebrates America – Wednesday, July 3rd starting at 5:30pm

Your favorite food trucks, live local music, and kid’s activities happen on the Duluth Town Green this Wednesday, followed by a fantastic fireworks show. Admission is FREE, but you’ll need a lawn chair or blankets.

Prelude Fireworks Spectacular in Lawrenceville – Wednesday, July 3rd Starting at 5pm

Visit Gwinnett’s county seat, Lawrenceville, at 70 S. Clayton Street for an afternoon of food trucks, music, games, and fireworks. The first 300 people will get 3D glasses for viewing the fireworks display!

Auburn Independence Day Celebration – Saturday, July 6 starting at 5pm

Can’t get away for mid-week fireworks? Visit Auburn on Saturday for vendors, live entertainment, crafts, inflatables, a zip line adventure, and fireworks at dusk.

Red, White, & Boom by LVW at Norcross – Wednesday, July 3 starting at 5pm

Visit Lillian Webb Park in Norcross on Wednesday, where the League of Women Voters is putting on an afternoon of fun and an evening of fireworks to celebrate freedom. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic supplies to spend an afternoon at the park.

4th of July at Lanier Islands in Buford – Wednesday, July 3 thru Sunday, July 7 starting at 6pm

Buy admission to the park, pull up your boat at the dock, or anchor out in the lake for a big fireworks display each night at dusk starting on Wednesday and running until Sunday, weather allowing.
