Are you thinking of selling your home but worry that your kids could ruin the process before it even starts?  It’s summer, so the kids are home more often, and they like to leave their mark. Cheerios under the couch, giant toy boxes in the living room, and messy kids’ bedrooms can indeed be turn-offs to buyers, so here are a few tips to help parents sell quickly without all the stress:

Crisp, White Interiors

Summer means open windows and time spent in the sunshine. It’s also a great time to de-clutter, clean, and make your home feel refreshed.  All-white design themes are easy to accomplish in kitchens and baths, where tile, stone, cabinetry, and linens come in many shades of white. Just one week ago, Peggy Slappey Properties visited Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville to provide lunch to the teachers and staff on the final day of school.  We handed out a few prizes and celebrated the end of another successful school year with these amazing people who prepare our kids for so much of what the future might hold.

Everyone has a story or two about teachers who impacted their lives.  It was our privilege to pay it forward by bringing lunch and a few laughs to these teachers and administrators who work so hard each and every school day.  We hope the summer months bring rest and relaxation to them all.

We know there are several teachers and families looking to move into the Mountain View High School District, which is

This coming Monday, May 29th, we will observe Memorial Day, when we gather with family and friends to remember soldiers who died while protecting our country.  The official federal holiday was originally called “Decoration Day,” a day of remembrance enacted immediately following the Civil War.  In 1968, Congress established Memorial Day as the last Monday in May, and now it is a three-day weekend that marks the unofficial start of the summer season.

Parades celebrating armed service members take place every year on Memorial Day in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C.  For local parades and events on Memorial Day in and near Metro Atlanta, visit http://www.atlanta.net/events/seasonal/memorial-day/.
